Growing Up is Funny

Today marks the end of a crazy few weeks. Within just a few short weeks I have had a friend become engaged, a friend get married and as of 11:27am a friend have her first baby.

I remember being in third grade driving to school and telling my mom how excited I was to get to middle school. It's been almost 9 years since I started middle school. I remember telling my mom I wanted to be just like her and be married at 21...I'm 21 and there is no thought of a ring. I remember sitting with my daddy watching Dinosaurs while mommy was at school...now I'm lucky to talk to my dad once a week. I remember watching Dawson's Creek, 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls thinking that high school would be just like that...boy was I wrong. Growing up is so fluid that you don't realize you are growing up. Instead of birthday party invitations I'm getting wedding invites, baby shower invites and bridal shower invites. Instead of being a flower girl, I'm one of the "big girls" trying on bridesmaids dresses.
