This morning was traumatic. When the kids are off playing, the parents let me work on editing because they know I have a busy schedule. I only do this if the kids have a friend over or do not want me around...I actually enjoy playing with them. This morning, the little girl had a friend over and the boy was building a rubix cube solving robot. The weather has been gloomy but bright so I thought I would open the blinds and enjoy the weather. I open the blinds, pull out my laptop and begin to edit...when ALL OF A SUDDEN, I hear a loud buzzing behind me...I jump up and see a GIANT bee trapped between the window and the open blinds (dumb bee in my opinion)...mind you, I have NEVER been stung in all 21 years of existence and I'd like to keep the record going. I call my dad to get advice and he suggests I raise the blinds, open the door and guide the little guy outside. I carefully lift the blinds...my life is in the hands of a newspaper at the moment but the bee won't follow...afraid I might upset him I grab a plastic cup in hopes to do that cool thing where they put the cup and then slide the newspaper under and free the little guy...he is extremely stupid because he just kept climbing up and down the window. By this point, I am quite shaky from fear of getting stung to death and dying of anaphylactic shock. The boy comes downstairs and tries to swat the pesky bee to death...the bee gets out of the window flies around, I'm screaming like I'm 5 at this point, and goes back into the window and repeats the being stuck nonsense...
I finally just closed the blinds and am ignoring the ferocious bee in between the glass and blinds.
