I can be such a worry wart. I spent all spring semester job hunting for jobs. As the semester drew to a close the search spread to back home for a summer only job. I was getting so discouraged. My former employer hired me back at the end of semester but was only ensuring me work until June. I needed money to pay bills and a job was necessary. I began applying anywhere and everywhere. I finally hit frustration and posted something on my facebook: "Kansas is looking for a summer job...anything, babysitting, receptionist, seriously anything...contact her if you know anyone or are hiring!!" I left my apartment near tears and went to eat lunch with friends. On my way to the caf my phone rang. It was my friend Rosie from church. She had been an overseer when I interned at the children's ministry. She was calling to tell me of a family in search of a summer sitter and that they were a great family. She passed along the numbers and I called and got the job! My boss since laid me off and I have been at home for 3 weeks jobless. God however PROVIDED. He showed me that He is the God who gives you what you NEED and not what you WANT. He showed me that He is faithful to take care of His people.
This season has taught me to trust God and to reassess my needs vs. my wants.
He is so faithful and loves His children beyond comparison.
It really is a beautiful thing!!
